Antihistamine: i prefer to use clartin once daily for 5 days. But any antihistamine will work. It is important to use benadryl (diphenhydramine) for 3 days at least which can be cumbersome since it is not once daily as claritin or zyrtec is. Thanks for consulting with healthtap. :)

Time: Time will take care of this but Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can help the itching. A warm cloth can help as well.
