Bad sunburn: Following bad sunburn, there is sometimes swelling from the inflammatory response your body creates to help it heal. This fluid - much like a bruise, will be absorbed over a few days - a week. The fluid follows gravity so may progress down the face a bit further before being absorbed. Please be careful with sun exposure - this is the number 1 cause for skin cancer later in life!
