A member asked:

I have occasional pain in my upper left abdomen, gallbladder is removed, soft lump on arch of right foot. i was told after gallbladder was removed i had a bit of fatty build up. but i didn't need to change my diet. could this be a liver issue?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gastroenterologist: I recommend an evaluation by a gastroenterologist. Causes of left upper abdominal discomfort include disorders of spleen, stomach, pancreas, common bile duct or portions of the colon which takes a 90 degree turn there and can cause gas entrapment. I don't consider the liver or complications of gall bladder surgery to be a cause of your discomfort.
