I have extreme pain in my upper right abdomen after fatty meals. can i prevent surgery on my gallbladder with herbs and diet?

Not likely: If you have documented gallbladder disease then gallbladder surgery would be the appropriate next step. No formal recommendations regarding herbal or diet interventions in lieu of surgery exist.

Yes,actually!: The gallbladder only contracts when it is told to squeeze. You can prevent this by avoiding fatty foods and spicy foods. If you feel like you could live the rest of your life without eating those then it is realistic to be able to avoid surgery. There is always a risk however that a stone could still get stuck in the wrong place and become a big problem.
