Tooth pain: Teeth may have periods of pain with the absence of pain in between. This is actually typical of pain where the nerve has died and intermittently flares up. Other less serious pain causes can also wax and wane. I suggest you have your dentist investigate the source of the pain before it becomes a more urgent problem.
