A member asked:

If i have panic attacks thinking about seizures would i freak out with laughing gas for pulling a wisdom tooth?

Typically NO: The anesthesia used for dental procedure is usually fast acting. Comes on quick, wears off quick. If you are overthinking the procedure, you can still have a panic attack. So, how about something relaxing (massage, yoga, exercise...Whatever relaxes you) before the procedure.

Gas is safe: Laughing gas is safe and will not cause seizures. Talk to the oral surgeon about a sedative to take the night before the extraction. This may help so you do not think about it too much. Anything else you can do to relax such as meditation, massage, will help you. But not alcohol. Have you had any treatment for your pa oc attacks? Consider this also.
