I know that acid reflux causes a feeling of having a lump in your throat, chest/abdominal pain and burning, and a feeling of having to burp but not be?

Yes: The symptoms all sound consistent with acid reflux. You might consider trying an over-the-counter anti-acid medication is for two weeks, following the recommendations on the box. If you are no better after two weeks, you should see your doctor or a gastroenterologist. Be sure to follow anti-reflux measures. You can find them under 'tips' labeled 'avoiding Heartburn' under my name. Good luck.
