Finished iv antibiotic 7 days. was supposed to do 14 for bacteremia sepsis. ive been home for 8 days and feel fine. will it come back,if so when?

Impossible to say.: If you've only completed 7 out of 14 day course of antibiotics, then you are at risk of recurrence (since you didn't finish the course). 14 days is standard for bloodstream infections w/o a source, works 99% of time. 7? Unknown. Even though you "feel fine", bacteria can hide out in the body & start to multiply again when you least expect it. It's impossible to know when, since bacteria are alive.
