Yes: The actual act of squeezing might not be a problem, but a broken rib as a result of squeezing could cause a pneumothorax if the rib puncrured the lung.

Possible: If someone squeeze you in the rib area hard enough to cause rib fractures, the fractured ribs can puncture the lung and cause the lung to collapse. Since you're young, your bones are unlikely to fracture unless the trauma was severe. Your doctor & a chest xray with be able to tell. More likely the ribs hurt & you couldn't breath deep enough, causing the lungs not expanding well enough.
