Consider these facts: C. Difficile, when pathologic, is a bacterial infection that may be accompanied by colonoscopically visible signs of colitis. Flagyl is however a tough antibiotic to tolerate and may itself promote some of the symptoms you're already experiencing prior to C.difficile eradication. Be aware also that many probiotics will be killed by the course of Flagyl you describe.

Usually 2-3 days: If the Flagyl and Probiotics are working by 2-3 days your illness should show a sign of improvement. Monitor your outcome and follow up with your MD.
