A member asked:

Blood cortisol tests over 3 year span constantly between 25-37 ug/dl @11am. along w/ large weight gain, acne, buffalo hump, hirsutism, etc.. cushings?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cortisol: These cortisol levels and signs and symptoms are consistent with cushing's syndrome which can be caused by pituitary gland tumors(true Cushing's disease), adrenal gland tumor, or other ectopic tumors which secrete pituitary gland type hormones. Your endocrinologist is best qualified to answer your question and determine what category of Cushing's syndrome you fall into by specialized testing.
