A member asked:

Is there a syndrome where a person can 'look' like they have cushing's but their am and pm serum cortisol is low. overweight, stretch marks, pendulous abdomen, muscle weakness, thick neck, buffalo hump, hirsutism - female. thank you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

At least one: I saw it in a kid who was mistakenly taking medrol ( a steroid) instead of mebaral for seizure control (pharmacy/doc writing issue). The mistake created the pseudo cushingoid appearance which resolved when the kid came off steroids.
