No worries: Klebsiella is a coliform bacteria. Like E. coli and other coliforms, it is frequent in almost anyone's GI tract. It's somewhat more likely to cause pneumonia than other coliforms (hence full name K. pneumoniae), but it's not dangerous to be exposed to such patients. For every patient with klebsiella pneumonia, you can assume you have cared for many others also carrying klebsiella. No worries!
