I have severe anemia which could be causing my rare heart disease (ist). i have had severe anemia for 2 years or more. when is it life threatening?

Anemia. : Our bodies have mechanisms for oxygen delivery to compensate for progressive anemia. But it's been suggested that below a hemoglobin of 4 that these mechanisms break down. So a hemoglobin below 4 is generally not considered compatible with sustaining life.
