A member asked:

I'm 40 years old, have heart issues (pvc, murmur, low blood pressure) anemia and hypoglycemia. i'm also obese and my height is only 4'5", i'm 9 months pregnant and they want me to have a c-section because my baby is sitting, will my life be at risk?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

In skilled hands the risks of c-section delivery for the mother are similar to those of vaginal delivery. Recovery time is longer. The risk to a breach baby is far less than that of a vaginal birth.
