Shaving: Can affect the normal growth pattern by changing the angle of growth etc. See below for general information: http://www.dermnetnz.org/topics/shaving/ There are however some disorders where there are abnormalities of hair growth. Difficult to give specific comments on this site and often needs and examination so recommend seeing a doctor licensed in your area for specific advice.

Duration?: How long have you been shaving and how long have you been wating for hair to regrow? If you have been shaving for many years, it's possible you don't really know what your pubic hair will look like because a) you may have had a different pattern of hair growth when you were younger and b) you may not have ever seen what it looks like unshaven. If it has only been a few weeks, give it time.
