My husband's resting pulse is 156 what should i do he's been having chest pains and his head has been hurting all over all day?

Emergency room: A resting heart rate above 100 in an adult is not normal and with chest pains it would be very important to rapidly exclude a serious cardiac rhythm disorder. Should call an ambulance/present at an emergency room as needs an urgent electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG).

Chest pain: If he has significant chest pain this warrants assessment.
