Leukoplakia: White patches can be infectious such as virally related or a fungal infection orwhit patches from hyperkeratosis or even from a dry mouth. If the patches are film like and come off they are likely candida and would respond to antifungals. If they do not come off you should see your doctor or dentist and consider a biopsy, especially if you are a smoker.
