Without a picture: my first thought would be possible lichen planus. While the specific cause of this condition is not known, it may be immune related and affected by stress. Medications may contribute. The pale mucosa (lining of oral cavity) is common. Usually there are no symptoms and no specific treatment is required. If it persists, have your dentist check it for you. Don't smoke! Stay well:)

See answer: Without seeing it two possibilities are: Leukoplakia and Lichen Planus. SEE YOUR DENTIST TO EVALUATE THE AREA. See> http://mayocl.in/1WY4cwh http://bit.ly/1NMLO2s
