How to reduce swollen face caused due to omnacortil? i was taking 60mg till last week, now on 40mg. doc said to reduce it by 10mg per week.

Time: Increased body fat and salt (water) retention from systemic cortisone are expected side effects which are usually dose and duration dependent. It may take weeks for the effects to subside after discontinuation of oral steroid. For those who have been on large doses of steroid, the effect may never completely go away. The severity is variable among people. Why are you on steroid?
