Can transmit illness: A tick doesn't have to be engorged to transmit infections; being engorged means it was attached long enough to feed on you but it doesn't have to be on that long to transmit Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella,Anaplasma etc. I strongly advise finding a Lyme-literate Dr. for evaluation and treatment. Depend: First of all depend on what kind of tick it is. Then once the skin has been interupted there is a potential for an issue depending on the type of tick
