Potential for Lyme disease occurs when/if the tick has been feeding for a minimum of a day, exchanging its oral secretions with your blood on which they feed. If your sure it wasn't there very long I wouldn't worry about it. I would discuss it with your doc. Lyme is a regional thing & your post does not indicate your location which may/not be in a Lyme risk area.

Whenever in doubt for how long the tick was embedded and/or having a local rash best to treat empirically, if infection missed early it becomes hard to diagnose/treat. Call your doc at your earliest convenience.
