Catheter: Since there is apparently no obstruction to your bladder outlet some of the urine in your bladder can collect and exit through your urethra. Are you able to have a Foley catheter inserted through the urethra which would stop these accidents? Discuss this with your urologist to see what steps can be taken to stop these accidents.

Incontinence: A Supra public catheter keeps the pressure in the bladder low by draining continuously however urine that collects at the bottom of the bladder can easily escape through the weak sphincters when pressure suddenly increases such as coughing or sneezing. A urethral catheter (Foleys) would be more ideal to prevent all accidents. Talk to your doctor about your options

Suprapubic: This catheter does not block the normal urinary outlet. Just reduces the pressure in the bladder. Some urine can still find its way down through normal route of urination when the pressure increase on coughing and sneezing. Foleys is an alternative which may help reduce accidents . Correct size of foleys is important .
