A member asked:

What is the difference between a supra pubic catheter and indwelling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Location: A regular indwelling catheter is inserted into the urethra, or channel, where urine normally passes. A suprapubic tube is placed through the abdominal wall into the bladder as an alternative location for bladder drainage.
