Here are some...: Have you had spinal cord injury leading to bladder dysfunction requesting S/P tube to drain your urine after failed to other options of care, or just having it for temporary urine drainage? Bacteria in urine would be 100% expected after S/P tube and requires no need for treatment (antibiotics) but good care to avoid unwanted tension and kinking in catheter and tube. There is no definite advantage.
