A thumb Spica: "cast (now made with more durable material) can generally fit under a glove and as long as you are right hand dominant you might be able to work full duty. Your Orthopedist should review your job description with you and determine if you can work! Hope this helps Dr Z

Severe wrist fracture. Treatment; volar plate, dorsal spanning plate and pins. Pin went through tendon after pinning through radial styloid. Couldn't flex thumb. After dorsal plate and pins removed, can now flex thumb, but with forearm pain. Opinion?
