Not finished: You only present half the story, not the full feature. It is tempting to blurt out "MS" with 5 OCB, but there are other autoimmune disorders that are more rare. NOBODY (in my opinion) has a stronger autoimmune Neurology program than Mayo. If its been five years, no diagnosis, time to see an institution of that power.

Oligoclonal bands can be diagnostically confirmative but are not specific. Although most often seen in MS, also present in infectious and inflammatory conditions such as CNS lupus, neurosarcoidosis, Behcet's, neurosyphilis, tuberculous or fungal meningitis, and SSPE amongst several conditions. Am also of the opinion that a second opinion is CRUCIAL. I too like Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.
