Wisdom Tooth P.O.: Good day; Always speak with practitioner after any type of surgical care; however, do not rinse around the extraction site area for 48 hours. The clot within the extraction site will not form if you aren't careful. After 2 days a chlorhexidine mouth wash is recommended around the extraction site until you may resume gentle massaging.

No!: Generally speaking we like to wait 24 hours before rinsing to allow a good blood clot to form. After that, continue to rinse, brush, and floss GENTLY for at least the next few days. Your own dentist should have provided you oral and/or written instructions. Follow those instructions and call that office if you still have questions.

See below: I am sure the dentist or oral surgeon gave you written instructions, including no spitting, smoking and taking it easy. If you have any concerns contact your dentist. Take care.

No!: Wat at least 24 hours. 48 hours would be better so as not to dislodge the clot. Refer to your specialist Zoral Surgeon's written instructions.
