I have been diagnosed with a simple cystic mass of 7.8 x 5.9 cm in the right ovary. please do i need to do a surgery immediately. i am not on any pill?

Surgery if painful: In general, a simply cystic mass of the ovary can be watched but it has to be followed with routine check ups and ultrasounds to ensure it isn't growing much larger or developing findings that might make it look less "simple." There's always the concern though that the cyst could twist which can be an emergency b/c it can cut off blood supply to the ovary. Make sure you have follow up.
