HypoT4 & Fe Def: Hypocoagulable state is not uncommon common in hypothyrodism. This in turn increases risk of bleeding which in turn can lead to iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency is common in females of childbearing age. Supplementation with iron and treatment with thyroid replacement therapy generally gets rid of the problem.
