Unrelated: The two entities are unrelated causally (pathophysiologically), but share many clinical symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, dizziness, cold intolerance, inattention, poor task completion, sleep disorders, poor concentration. Your doctor can help determine if either of these are present in your case. Iron deficiency results from blood loss/poor diet hypothyroidism is usually an autoimmune process.

Thyroid: Although there could be another reason for the anemia, odds are that the hypothyroidism is contributing to the anemia.
