I have not had a bowel movent for 6 days. i have been taking doculax and lactulose.my doctor rexebtly prescribed docusate syrup.still nothing.

Is this a chronic : problem? Are you on medications that could be causing this? Do you have underlying medical problems? Are you eating and drinking well? Any bleeding? You may need a Fleet enema, but depending on the answers to those questions, there may be other possible treatments/solutions. It's best to discuss this further with your doctor who knows you.
