Eustachian tube: Hi. This is likely to be Eustachian tube dysfunction which causes the ear drum to have a sensation of fluttering. It is not uncommon and not usually something to worry about. If you are concerned (especially if it keeps going on) then pop in and see your GP. See this link for Eustachian tube dysfunction. https://familydoctor.org/condition/eustachian-tube-dysfunction/

Tinnitus? Fluid?: Your gp should be able to do some basic assessments as dr large says that will help work out whether it is likely middle ear fluid/eustachian problem or tinnitus (a less well understood problem but may be affecting hearing). Usually both of these are not serious but can be useful to work out what it is and an examination should help

Physical examination: A good physical examination by a health care provider with an otoscope would be a good first step. Ruling out a foreign body in the ear canal will allow your healthcare provider to better understand you condition and fine tune their diagnosis.
