Fluttering in ear: Fluttering in the ear is usually not fluid in the ear. Fluid would cause persistent dampening of all sounds and muffling of consenant sounds, like "t" and "s". Fluttering is most likely brief spasm of one or more of the very tiny muscles that are in your middle ear, such as the stapedius or tensor tympani muscles. It's rarely a serious condition and it typically resolves without treatment.

See your dentist: You should see a dentist to check the function of your temporomandibular joint, or jaw joint that is by your ear. They can make a better diagnosis and give you treatment options.

TMJ: Ear fluttering likely due to TMJ dysfunction. To be sure, see ENT doc. If ear negative, see TMJ specialist if jaw clicking bothers you.

Tinnitus: Fluttering sensation is a benign condition and in medical terms it is called Tinnitus. Unfortunately, there's no cure for chronic tinnitus, it often becomes less noticeable over time. If concerned see an ENT.
