My mom had a pet ct scan yesterday to see the enormity of the cancer in her lungs and lymph nodes and is experiencing a nose bleed. is that normal?

Bone marrow spread?: Spontaneous nosebleed in the setting of malignant lung cancer may suggest low platelets due to bone marrow involvement. I strongly recommend following up with the oncologist.
