I have sinuses, a lot of times i have post nasal drip. it causes phlegm or mucus in my throat. can this cause light and occasional wheezing?

Yes, post-nasal drip is a common cause of bronchospasm and bronchospasm can cause wheezing and/or coughing. The post-nasal drip needs to be treated in order to prevent this bronchospasm. It can be treated with saline and/or steroid nasal sprays. See your doctor for this treatment. If this treatment is ineffective, an ENT evaluation may be needed for alternative treatments. Can post nasal drip from chronic sinus infection 3 months..cause chest congestion/throat wheezing, especially at night when laying down or waking up? Wheezing in throat is when exhaling and sounds crackling. Congestion in chest is productive.
