A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on why: Many times, there are limits on insurance coverage for triptan medication. All that means is that you are directly or indirectly buying an insurance policy that covers a few pills a month, but can either self-pay for more pills or buy a different insurance plan. Other times, the doctor worries about the patient to taking too many doses, and needs her to be rechecked in the office before refilling.
