IVaries: Your baby will move more at certain times of the day and often times more after a meal. The baby will sleep similar to a newborn as well. In general what i tell my patients is that the hour after they eat you should feel 6-10 distinct movements. If you don't, you may want to call your provider and let them know you have decreased fetal movement.

Variable: The answer to your question depends on many things. For example, if you are over weight , you may not feel the baby move as much at 27 weeks. If the placenta is on top of the uterus, you may not feel the baby move as much. Try drinking some juice and lie on your left side. You should feel the baby move at least five times in fifteen minutes. If you do not feel your baby move call provider.
