Why does not a fetus move that much?

Some do, some don't: Fetus' have a sleep period in utero just like us and sometimes movement is not detected. If the mother notes an absence or diminished movement by the fetus over time her OB MD will do additional testing to check on the baby with a non stress test.(NST)
