Have to work it out: It is frequent for health insurers to suggest alternate medications that are less expensive. If they are the same chemical and strength, the benefit should be the same. This is something that has to be worked out between the patient, doctor, and insurer. Sometimes the patient feels strongly enough about one medicine to not involve insurance and pay for it him/herself.
