A member asked:

Is angle recession seen on slit lamp within a week after hyphema, which causes traumatic glaucoma? or it can remain undiagnosed and require follow ups?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: You probably had a blow to the eye which tore the angle, the site of fluid drainage from the eye and the cause of the hyphema. Healing occurs with the angle more open and scar tissue formation over some of the drains. The risk of glaucoma depends upon how much was recessed and how much scar your eye angle made. You should get regular, probably yearly, pressure measurements.
