Ask your implanter.: There are too many variables to give an overall accurate answer in all settings. From the skin wound standpoint, as soon as they say you can immerse it in a bathtub, you could swim. For a new pacemaker implant, you cannot raise your arm above your head until the wires heal in place; typically after a month. This would impact the reach for most swimming strokes. Ask your cardiologist.
