Maybe but why: The lemon cleanse diet provides less than a 1000 calories per day and is woefully low in vital nutrients for the time you are on it. If your electrolytes (sodium, potassium particularly) get altered on the diet, it may affect your heart beat or possibly predispose to heart rhythm problems. This could be an additional risk of this diet. Also, risk depends on other underlying medical conditions.
