Likely gas: Trapped gas, often in the large intestine will stretch the walls & set of a sharp pain which resolves when it moves further along inside the intestine. Gas bubbles rise to the top,so if you are upright it tends to be just under your rib cage, if laying head down it can move to your rectum & be tooted out. Avoid foods that make you gassy. If you have fever or other symptoms see your doc.
