A member asked:

For years i wake up with an abdominal ache. when i inhale the pain becomes sharp. it is only when i wake and goes away once up and moving. area: if i place my fist right below my ribcage in the center. i can feel it somewhat in my back as well. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Epigastric pain: Pain in that region with radiation to the back is seen with pancreatic pathology and with a penetrating peptic ulcer. Gall bladder pain is usually in the right upper abdomen with radiation around the right side into the back. My advice is to consult a gastroenterologist for evaluation and advice. Appropriate tests will be ordered.
