Potentially: There are some cases where hyper mobility can lead to arthritis and other times not. Instability in the patellafemoral joint is a good example. The unstable patella (knee cap) can shift in and out of the normal joint and this can damage the cartilage in the joint causing premature wear and arthritis. I would not hesitate to be seen and discuss the specifics of your case.
