A member asked:

Infection after molar extraction. got antibiotics. had sepsis before. what is the chance of getting if from this extraction?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sepsis: Extraction does not cause sepsis. The infected tooth that had to be removed was pumping bacteria into your blood stream. Antibiotic, taken exactly as prescribed until all are gone, should manage your equilibrium. If you are unsure about anything, return immediately to the Dentist or Specialist who did the surgery for reevaluation.
