Underdosed?: According to Lexicomp, the dose should be 2 grams (4 tablets). Less might work also, but I would try to get the full 2 grams. Symptoms should resolve within 7 days. Avoid milk products until your diarrhea resolves because lactose intolerance can develop in patients with diarrhea. If your diarrhea persists 7 days or more, please see your doctor again. Keep yourself hydrated with pedialyte.
