? neuroprotection: The nervous system consists of both central and peripheral nerves; much work has been done in both areas trying to create neuroprotective strategies against degeneration e.g. from hypoxia whether due to cerebrovascular disease (such as stroke) or metabolic disease (such as diabetes). Such work continues as there has been no approach that has to date been successful consistently.

Agree with Dr Liang. However, we do need more specifics from you. Is degeneration in spinal cord, brain, peripheral nerves? Is there a causative diagnosis? Are you taking medication, recreational drugs or alcohol, have prior contact with solvents, chemicals? Perhaps best approach here is virtual consult.
