Depends: Recovery in surgery varies from individual to individual. In general nerves repair themselves, if they can 0.5 mm per day. Practically, one year after surgery, you will be at maximum recovery post-surgery.

Give it time: Nerves take time to recover. A good physical therapist can help you bring your strength back but it will take a few months for good recovery. So be patient but keep trying to move them around in all directions.
